David V. – Reach Local

Milestones & Victories

As an Internet Marketing Consultants (IMCs) I had the unique opportunity to blend a truly consultative sale with a meaningful, long-term relationship with clients. I utilized my dynamic personality, and proven track record of achievement. My primary role was to promote and demonstrate the value of the ReachLocal platform to the businesses that need the most help. And because I dealt with a product which truly helps local businesses, they were eager to help spread the word and bring other advertisers onboard.

I generated and developed sales in the local marketplace through a combination of telephone, networking and premise-based sales. Specifically, I delivered technology-enabled, full-service digital marketing solutions and strategies to small- and medium-sized businesses.

This position is in a booming industry where technology meets advertising, and is very entrepreneurial in nature. While IMCs report directly to a Regional Sales Manager, much my time was spent essentially on being my own boss and managing my own time and my own “book of business.” As a successfully IMC, I must know how to strike a successful balance between growing the book while maintaining meaningful, consultative and lasting relationships with existing clients.

I was a tactful but aggressive closer. I knew how to manage and run great internet marketing campaigns and retain clients. This hands-on role involved the strategic use of display advertising, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, demographics, and behavioral marketing.
